WHY SUPPORT THE NUNS?
- To empower young women and girls of the high Himalayan region with a high-quality, modern education
- To provide opportunities for these women and girls as educated global citizens, agents of change in their communities, and models of compassion for all
- To preserve the very precious and rare lineages held by Tsoknyi Rinpoche that provide the same monastic training to women that has been traditionally reserved for men
- To provide the nuns a rich training opportunity in the highest Buddhist studies and practice to become accomplished Dharma teachers
- To cultivate a lifetime of living the enlightened tradition of Dharma in the female form
